Introducing AERO6: The World’s First USB Six-Pack for Flight Simulation

If you have ever looked into adding a six-pack gauge setup to your flight simulator, you probably noticed the same thing I did: it is not as simple as it should be.

Most solutions require extra displays, HDMI cables, additional software, display settings, and a lot of setup work just to get basic flight instruments into your cockpit.

That is exactly why I created the AERO6.

The AERO6 is the world’s first USB six-pack display for flight simulation. It gives you a clean, modern, 10-inch digital flight display powered by one single USB cable.

No HDMI.
No extra monitor.
No second screen running through your graphics card.
No Air Manager.
No complicated display setup.

Just one USB cable, a small software setup, and you are ready to fly.

A Cleaner Way to Add Flight Gauges

The goal behind AERO6 was simple: make the traditional six-pack easier to add to a simulator without creating more work for the user.

The screen is bright, sharp, and easy to read. When you look closely, you can see how much detail is packed into the display. During the day, the gauges are crisp and clear. At night, the colors and contrast stand out and become a real focal point of the cockpit.

The AERO6 also includes touchscreen operation, which means you can interact directly with the display. You can navigate between pages, change gauge layouts, and access different views without reaching for a mouse or hunting through menus.

It feels natural, clean, and simple.

Built to Fit Real Simulator Setups

AERO6 was designed to sit naturally above popular flight simulator yokes like the Logitech Flight Yoke and Honeycomb Alpha. It looks right at home in either setup and gives the cockpit a much more complete aviation feel.

It can also be mounted to a hard surface using screws, making it flexible for custom cockpit builders and sim pilots who want a cleaner permanent setup.

One USB Cable

One of the most important parts of AERO6 is the cable setup.

There is only one cable.

A single USB cable powers the entire unit and sends everything needed to the display. There is no HDMI cable, no video cable, and no extra screen to manage through Windows or your graphics card.

That is what makes AERO6 different. It was designed to remove the clutter and frustration that usually comes with adding external flight instruments to a simulator.

Powered by SimHub

AERO6 receives its information through SimHub, a free program that you download and install on your PC. The simulator outputs flight data, and SimHub sends that information to the AERO6 display.

The device is designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Because the information comes directly from the simulator, it does not really matter which aircraft you are flying. The data is still being streamed and displayed digitally through the gauges.

The only limitation comes from the visual range of some of the analog-style gauge pages.

Multiple Gauge Pages

AERO6 includes several screen layouts so you can choose the view that works best for your flight.

There is a single-engine gauge page, a single-engine page with attitude display, a dual-engine gauge page, a dual-engine page with attitude display, and a digital gauge page.

The single-engine page is designed around GA-style aircraft, similar to a Cessna. The dual-engine page offers a higher RPM range, but it is still limited to the range shown on the gauge face.

For aircraft that exceed those analog ranges, the digital page displays the information without the same visual limitation.

For example, if you are flying an airliner using the GA-style gauges, you may max out the RPM or speed display before you even take off. The aircraft data is still being received, but the analog-style gauge face only goes up to the range shown.

That is why the digital page is included.

Touchscreen Navigation

The AERO6 screen is designed with simple touchscreen navigation.

The side areas of the display are used to move between the different screens. Tapping the sides lets you cycle through the available pages.

On the single-engine and dual-engine pages, tapping the correct gauge area allows you to switch between the main engine view and the attitude-style view. Tapping it again brings you back.

This gives you quick access to the information you need while keeping the display clean and easy to use.

Designed, Packed, and Shipped with Care

Because this is a large touchscreen device, I wanted to make sure it traveled safely. Every AERO6 is packed with care, and I designed a custom shipping enclosure to protect the product during transit.

The enclosure is not meant to be a decorative case or a permanent accessory. Its job is to protect the screen and help the device arrive safely. Inside the package, you will also find the included USB cable and 90-degree USB adapter.

Please plug the device directly into the front or back of your PC whenever possible. If that is not possible, use a powered USB hub.

Do not plug the device into red quick-charge USB ports on a hub, as those can damage the screen.

Can the airspeed and turn coordinator be moved to the left side and altimeter and VSI to the right?
