Shipping Update: Why We Can No Longer Ship to Spain

Why Spain Has Been Removed as a Shipping Destination

Over the past few years, I’ve made every effort to ship internationally and support customers around the world. I value every order, regardless of location, and I do everything possible to ensure packages are shipped quickly, securely, and fully insured.

Unfortunately, after repeated and ongoing issues, I’ve made the difficult decision to remove Spain as a shipping destination.

What’s Been Happening

A very high percentage of shipments sent to Spain experience extreme delays, far beyond normal international transit times. Packages quoted at 10–20 days routinely take 6–8 weeks, sometimes longer. In many cases, shipments stall in customs facilities for months with no actionable explanation or resolution.

Even more concerning, multiple packages have been returned to the United States after weeks or months in transit, or have bounced between facilities without ever reaching the customer. Once a package enters the Spanish postal and customs system, there is effectively no way for me—or the carrier—to intervene.

Insurance and Losses

All international shipments are fully insured for the item’s value. However, after 40 days in international transit, a package is legally considered lost, even if tracking still shows movement. At that point, an insurance claim can be filed and the customer refunded.

What many people don’t realize is that insurance does not cover shipping costs. This means that when a package is lost, I refund both the product and the shipping fee to the customer, while personally absorbing the shipping cost out of pocket. After experiencing this repeatedly with shipments to Spain, the losses have become unsustainable.

This Is Not a Customer Issue

To be absolutely clear:
This decision has nothing to do with customers in Spain. I’ve had nothing but respectful, patient, and understanding customers there. The issue lies entirely with persistent logistics and customs failures that are outside of my control.

A Difficult but Necessary Decision

I never enjoy limiting where I can ship. However, continuing to offer shipping to Spain has resulted in repeated delays, lost packages, and financial losses that I can no longer responsibly absorb while running a small business.

For now, Spain has been removed from my shipping platforms. If conditions improve in the future and I can confidently ship there again, I will absolutely reconsider.

Thank you to everyone for your understanding, support, and trust. Transparency matters to me, and I believe being honest about these challenges is the fairest approach for everyone involved.
